The Brass Band of Central Illinois will present its annual holiday concert “Go Tell It On The
Mountain” at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018. The concert will be held in the
auditorium of Center for the Performing Arts at Illinois State University in Normal, IL.
Conducted by Dr. Sharon Huff, the band will present several exciting and traditional brass band
arrangements of spectacular and festive music selected especially for the season, including
Myles Singleton as our flugelhorn soloist in a beautiful version of “I Wonder As I Wander”.
The concert will feature the Sound Of Illinois chorus as our special guest. They will perform
three of their holiday favorites, “Mary Did You Know”, “Caroling, Caroling”, and “Do You Hear
What I Hear?”. The band will also perform two pieces with the chorus during the program,
“Adeste Fidelis” and “Go Tell It On The Mountain”. Finally, the chorus will join us as we close
the concert with our annual audience singalong of familiar Christmas carols!
As always, the concert is free with no admission charge or tickets required. Voluntary donations
will be accepted during the concert. Holiday refreshments will also be served immediately after
the concert!
