The Brass Band of Central Illinois and our Music Director, Dr. Sharon Huff, invite you to A Christmas Encounter, a concert overflowing with holiday sparkle, stately fanfares, and a touch of merry mischief.
From the opening strains of A Christmas Intrada to the jubilant Christmas Finale, we will fill your ears with yuletide joy. March alongside Rimsky-Korsakov’s Procession of the Nobles, unwind to John Rutter’s tender Christmas Lullaby, and savor the sounds of William Gordon’s Il est Né.
Home-grown BBCI talent shines as we feature trombonist Michael Archer soaring on Angels on High, and cornetists Kelly Rackauskas, Gabe Myers, and Josh Myers go crazy on Trumpets Wild! And, of course, no BBCI Christmas concert would be complete without Kelly leading the glorious sing-along.
So grab your Santa hat, a candy cane, and your favorite elf, and join us for an evening of sparkling brass that captures the true Glory of Christmas!
